FiT successfully tests “International” at the Parts Cleaning Conference in the U.S.

With the “FiT International” concept, we are taking the next step toward internationalization—but we are doing so deliberately and with a sense of proportion. Before launching international initiatives, we first want to gauge the market’s response and understand the needs of potential partners.

For this reason, our board members Michael Flämmich and Gerhard Koblenzer presented the “FiT International” concept during a 60-minute plenary presentation at the Parts Cleaning Conference, which took place from July 7 to 9 in Columbus, Ohio (USA). Approximately 100 participants gained insight into the goals and vision of an international platform for industrial parts cleaning.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. There was a clearly palpable interest in an independent trade association with an international focus. In the discussions that followed, it became evident that there is a great need for professional exchange across national borders.

The event was attended by Florian Weber, Chair of the FiT International Technical Committee, who was tasked with gathering feedback from the market and identifying key ideas for the concept’s further development. In addition, a Mentimeter survey was conducted to gauge participants’ expectations and interests.

Initial feedback has been extremely positive: Immediately following the presentation, five participants expressed their willingness to actively participate in the further development of FiT International.

“Interest in the topic of ‘FiT International’ is greater than we had expected. We are very pleased that, even after just our presentation, the first interested parties are already eager to get involved, and this confirms that our idea is also being well received in the international market,” explains Florian Weber.

The insights gained are now being evaluated and will be directly incorporated into the further development of the concept. The next step is an international roundtable with interested parties. Together, they will discuss requirements, expectations, and possible approaches for future collaboration.

In doing so, we remain true to our guiding principle: Listen first, then decide. The decision on whether to implement FiT International will be made by the General Assembly this fall. Until then, the focus will be on dialogue with the market and the careful further development of the concept.

We will, of course, keep our members and the professional community informed about further developments and results.
