Parts Cleaning—A value-adding process step

Residual contaminants on components compromise the quality and function of products and increase scrap. Therefore, coordinated and reliable cleaning technology makes a significant contribution to the cost-effectiveness of the manufacturing process across all industrial sectors.

Industrial parts cleaning has now evolved from a “necessary evil” into a value-adding process step. In addition, strict environmental legislation presents companies in the cleaning industry and end users with ever-changing challenges. For them, the goal is to use existing cleaning technology as efficiently as possible and to translate new developments into practical solutions.

FiT – Interface Between Research, Development, and Application

The “Fachverband industrielle Teilereinigung e.V.” (FiT) serves as an interface between research, development, and the application of industrial cleaning technology. FiT aims to generate new insights, compile and consolidate existing knowledge, and promote the exchange of information both within the industry and with external stakeholders.

It acts as a point of contact and facilitator for:

  • Users, manufacturers, and service providers in the field of industrial cleaning technology
  • Research and development institutions

FiT’s areas of responsibility also include:

  • the continuing education, training, and certification of skilled workers in the field of industrial parts cleaning
  • communication and cooperation with authorities at the national and EU levels regarding regulations and laws
  • Shining a Light on Industrial Parts Cleaning

Our goal is:

  • to raise awareness of the importance of industrial parts cleaning in the production process,
  • to promote collaboration and knowledge transfer among research institutions, universities, manufacturers, and users,
  • to increase knowledge of and acceptance for industrial cleaning technology within industry, politics, government agencies, and the general public,
  • and thereby to support our members in advancing their economic, general, and ideological interests.
